Marketing Message

A WhatsApp marketing message is a category of pre-approved template message used for promotional and commercial outreach, sales offers, product launches, discount announcements, charged at the highest per-conversation rate among Meta’s three message categories.

Meta classifies all template messages into three categories: marketing, utility, and authentication. Marketing is the most expensive because Meta deliberately discourages WhatsApp spam users see WhatsApp as a personal channel, and Meta protects that perception by making promotional outreach a costly business decision.
